Lightroom CC: It would be awesome to have a “Paste Settings From Previous Image” button

On my desktop with MIDI controller I have a button which copies all settings from the previous image. It really speeds up my workflow because I can copy everything, then make minor tweaks and move to the next image. Ideally it would just be a simple icon without any additional clicks required. When working with large batches, I will frequently have images that are nearly identical, and since LR Mobile doesn’t allow you to select multiple images, this would be a simple way to process images in groups.

If I could give this more than 1 vote, I would. It's one of the main features I miss from Classic.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom CC: Add "Previous" Button.

We need a "Previous" button in lightroom CC, just like in lightroom classic.

If you happen to use Lr mobile on an iPad, this is already possible using keyboard shortcuts (which definitely speed up your workflow once you start using them).

1. Copy settings from an image using cmd+c

2. Advance to next image using right arrow

3. Paste settings using cmd+v

4. GOTO step 2.

5. ???

6. Profit

I’ve been using this ever since I’ve found out there’s no way of applying settings to multiple images at the same time. It’s not an ideal workflow (still slower than cmd+a, paste settings, done), but it’s an okay workaround.

The software engineers really blew it on this one! Make LR CC dumber than Nikon's Capture NX-D which is free. Is anyone listening?
