Lightroom CC: How do I organize my presets?

How do I organize my presets in the new app??? In the old app it was wasy to organize presets in to folders. In the new one I can't find a easy way to do it.
Does anyone have a solution to this struggle?

Hi magnel63478058,

Lightroom CC do not organize presets in folder structure. I'd recommend that you post this request and feedback on our Lightroom feedback community so the engineering team can get this recorded. Could you please post this feedback here: Lightroom CC | Photoshop Family Customer Community

You may take a look at the below article to know more about organizing presets in Lightroom CC:

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Akash

Thanks to Akash for quick and good feedback. Hope this gets better in a future update, the new lightroom has great potential.

These days you have to organize them in the Lightroom interface rather than the file system as the organization is stored as text in the preset file itself. It's definitely more tricky now though.

Can you please give us an idea of the kind and volume of reorganization you're trying to do, so the engineering team can get a better feel for this in a real world environment?

I had about five folders with a total of 450 different presets in the classic lightroom app.

And you're trying to break them down into additional folders by the type of effect? Or group the ones you use most frequently? Or what was the end result you're looking for?

Both actually. I had a folder with the ones I used most frequent. And the rest after type of effect or style of photo. Portrait, Landscape, BW, HDR, Food, Snow and most used. A good fix would be a possibility to import presets to a specific folder.

I seem to have a solution:  I have tried to arrange the presets purchased from a website (500+ presets arranged in 10+ folders) and was surprised to see that a right click did not show the 'New Folder' option in Lightroom CC.  What works is the following: (i) Go the '+" and press 'Import presets', (ii) Select the folder that you want to import the presets, (ii) Import the presets grouped (as per a category in a folder) and these automatically get populated in the 'USER PRESETS' group.  Right click on USER PRESETS, and rename the file as per your choice.  You will not find the group 'USER PRESETS' anymore.  Don't worry and import the next set of presets from another older, and the next import automatically goes into a group called 'USER PRESETS.  Rename this again and keep continuing till you have imported all your favourite presets. Hope this helps.......

This tip worked very well, but I'd still wish for a better interface to organize my presets. Move multiple presets and folders at the same time (multi-select) + drag and drop.
