Lightroom CC: Does not sync

lightroom (desktop) does not work/sync; the syncronisation between iOS and the cloud works; no photos are displayed; the app is "offline"; all other CC applications works; multiple installation without success

A couple of quick things to check:

1. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
2. Make sure that you don't have any firewall/security software enabled that would prevent Lightroom CC from accessing your network services. 

The Adobe Creative Cloud app needs internet to work as well. Does it show as connected?
