Lightroom CC: Cannot rename my files

Trialing LR CC and not thrilled.  Why can't I rename my files?  Please don't tell me I have to leave them with the camera file names.

Also, why can't I export jpeg versions onto my own local storage?

Any help appreciated.

File renaming in LRCC isn't (yet) possible. It has, however, already been requested so I suggest you add your vote too: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/change-file-name-in-lightroom-cc

Exporting is possible via the "Save To" option. It's not as comprehensive as the export capabilities of LR Classic, however there's another existing request for improved functionality here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/is-lightroom-cc-a-nonprofessional-version-of-...

Saving as JPEG to your local disk is actually one of the things that Lightroom CC can already do...

I see that now ... at first it looks as if there's only one option (no up/down arrow to indicate there's a choice).   And yes in jpeg too.  But if I don't name my files I can't tell what I'm looking at.  It seems LRCC acts pretty much like Photos as of now ... and aimed at the amateur or enthusiast only, not the professional.    Thanks also Jim ... the whole CC thing is confusing, I didn't realize it was split into CC and CC Classic.
