GPS Data Missing Upon Export from Desktop or Mobile App
When I export a photo (share it from an iOS device or my Mac -both running latest OS version and latest Lightroom Version) the image doesn't seem to include the location information. On the Mac there is no option to include or exclude, but on the iOS version there is and that is turned on. Never-the-less the image when exported from either my iPhone, iPad Pro or Mac doesn't include the location information in the photo when viewed in Photos for iOS or Photos for Mac OS. When I export a photo from Photos for iOS or Mac and it has location information in the image, that information shows up in Lightroom. I can't tell if Lightroom CC is stripping out the location information, saving that data in a place Mac OS and iOS don't know to look or there is some other problem afoot. In any event geotaging photos in LIghrtoom seems to only benefit Lightroom and not Photos for Mac or Photos for iOS. In Lightroom I deal exclusively with RAW. My Canon 80D does't support Geotagging and I've not yet purchased a Geotagging device. The Canon 80D doesn't support geotagging through Canon Connect. So at this time I have no way of adding GeoTag information to my photos other than tagging them once in Lightroom CC Desktop (since GeoTagging isn't supported at all on Lightroom CC Mobile) and in Photos or Mac since iOS doesn't support GeoTagging either.
