Treat previous import like a collection

After having imported ne pictures in Lightroom Classic CC, they are in the section "previous" import. This should be treated as a collection fom my point of view, since it would make jumong between collections and the current import a lot easier. Thanks!

Just put them in your own "Previous Import named or any name" collection using the Add to Collection during import.   Then they will be in the collection panel.  Also, why do you have to jump back and forth?

Hi Robert,

Creating my own "previous import"-collection would, of course, work. I would consider this a work-around, this is why I proposed a simple adjustment to treat the standard "previous import" like a collection.
Why do I need to jump? When I go through my imported pictures, I put the ones I really like in another collection "Good pictures". Sometimes, for example, I want to do a comparison of the pictures in the "good pictures" collection (e.g. to adjust the star-rating), so I jump into the "good pictures"-collection to do this. When done I want to jump back, and this a painful navigation to scroll all the way to the top in the folders, click on the "previous imports" and then I need to navigate to the picture I have looked at before.
Maybe this could be improved.
ThanksChristian

The easiest way to quickly navigate between Collections and, or Folders and define the few Collections or Folders concerned as Favorites and then navigate between them or them through the favorite menu that opens directly above the film thumbnails.

Just to confirm, when you say "treat it like a collection", you mean move it to the Collections panel?

In the meantime, have you tried simply closing the Folders panel, so the Catalog panel and Collections are a few mm apart?

Great Idea Victoria.  Thats better than moving the "All Photographs" as I think it should stay at the top with the other "special" collections.

I agree, it should stay on top with the special collections, but the suggestion would be to also add the "Previous Import" to the "Go to collection" context menu, that's all.Closing the folders panel helps, but the basic navigation remains the same for me (with by now quite a few (hierarchical) collections in my catalogue).
