Photoshop/Lightroom Creative Cloud: What happens when you stop paying?

I don't know the in's and out's of the whole 'CC' idea, so I'm curious about those few things, like how long you have to lease for, whether or not it just goes dead at that point, or what...

Hi Bob,

The Creative Cloud Photography plan is the best value for photographers and is available through Adobe.com here:

https://creative.adobe.com/plans/phot...

or if you prefer, through Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K... (monthly)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O... (Yearly pre-paid)

The Creative Cloud Photography Plan includes Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom mobile, and you get all the product updates/upgrades (e.g. Photoshop 2014, 2015, 2016, etc & Lightroom 6, LR7, LR8, LR9, etc) for OS and native camera compatibility as part or your ongoing membership.

If you decide to end your membership, Photoshop CC will no longer work. Note: Signing up for or canceling a Creative Cloud Complete or Photoshop Photography Program does *not* affect any perpetual licenses you own.

With Lightroom, at the end of a membership, the Lightroom desktop application will continue to launch and provide access to the photographs managed within Lightroom as well as the Slideshow, Web, Book or Print creations that we know many photographers painstakingly create. The Develop and Map modules are disabled in order to signal the your membership has ended. Access to Lightroom mobile workflows will also cease to function.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns I can answer.

Lightroom: I have Lr perpetual license. If I switch to Lr Sync and later end my membership, will I still be able to use Lr with all modules including Develop?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled LR 6.x (perpetual) and CC - can I go back to 6.x if terminate CC subscription?.

Suppose a mac user with LR 6.x (perpetual license) experiments with LR CC and corrects some images, either newly imported or already in catalog.  I think those images are not adjustable by the 6.x program any longer, just in CC.  So how to protect yourself if you worry about someday quitting CC?

Lightroom CC 2015 and Lightroom 6 catalogs are compatible with one another so all your edits will persist. If you go from CC 2015 to Lightroom 6, you won't have access to to make edits using Lightroom mobile, Boundary Warp, local Whites & Blacks, or Dehaze. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-creative-cloud-faq.html#AreanyLightroomfeaturesavaila...
