Photoshop: How do I download Creative Cloud (Photoshop CC & Lightroom) onto a new or 2nd computer?

I had a work computer go dead, and they ordered me a new one, and now I need to put all of my stuff back on my computer. How do I do that?

I have Photoshop and Lightroom through a subscription to Creative Cloud and was able to download it to both my Windows PC and my Mac laptop. When I had a problem recently, I contacted Adobe and they were extremely helpful in resolving the problems on both computers.

I have a Samsung laptop that currently has Photoshop on it. (I pay the monthly fee) I just recently purchased a MacBook Pro and don't know how to install or download Photoshop on there as well. Can I keep it on both devices? Thank you!

I also have a laptop (MacBook Pro) and a desktop PC and have been able to download CC to both. The license allows you to have it on 2 computers and it is compatible with both OSs. I think you need to log into Adobe on each computer with your password and you will be able to download it to each one.

You shouldn't have to enter a serial #. You should be able to just download the software using the instructions above and sign in to activate the software. If that doesn't work, I suspect a firewall or bad host file might be blocking the software from talking with the activation server: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html#Troubleshoot%20connectivity%20issues

You need your license key to install new.
To do this follow these steps:

Start by signing in the Adobe site:  https://accounts.adobe.com
Sign in using your Adobe name then go to Manage Account, use your password.
Next click Plan and Products, then View My Products, to see your licensed
products and license keys for each.   Now you can get back into the groove.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled How to reinstall Photoshop after a Mac Pro crash.

My MacPro crashed and Apple had to wipe the hard drive clean. I can't find where the Photoshop software is that I had on it before the crash. (Note they changed the system to macOS Sierra 10.12.6 from Sierra 13(?)

William Lee,

You need to find your downloadable software then use your former key.  When you first downloaded your software you had to have registered (if you wish of course) the software and the key for it will have gone to Adobe.   You can download the software again then insert your former key to get it going on y our new computer.   Here's how you find it.

Start by signing in the Adobe site at  https://accounts.adobe.com
Sign in using your Adobe name and password at the link above,
once there, go to Manage Account, next click Plan and Products
then click View My Products, get your licensed products list and keys.

Use the key for your CC product.   Be sure that it pertains to that specific product.
Don't try a newer product with the same key.

happy computing,

William,

Changing to a different OS on your Mac is okay.  Your Adobe product will still work on the new OS.

Thanks Steve. After TOO much time, I finally got it "kinda" going again...
I say "kinda' 'cause every time something like this happens, it seems that your computer changes in the way it operates, AND the amount of data that you have gotten back! Thanks again

Bought Lr and Ps couple monts ago, subscription for one year. Computer I downloaded those programs broke, I cant use it at all. My husband offered me to use his. How do you transfer those programs or access keys from my old comp to my husbands computer? Since I just bought those, I do not wish to pay again for the same programs. I downloaded free 14 days on his comptuter, but seems many options are disabled.
