Photoshop cannot edit the edited image from Lightroom

I am using Lightroom 10.0 the latest version, after editing in Lightroom, I right clikck the image, select edit in Photoshop. Photoshop works fine on openning the image but all edit in Lightroom lost, just the original file. My Photoshop is also the latest version 2021. Have no idea what happened? Really appreciate if anyone can help me.

A dialog box should pop up asking Edit Original, or Edit a Copy, or Edit a Copy with Lightroom Changes. Do you see that? PS-Always mention your computer platform, Mac or Win, it's crucial.

Thanks for your reply. I am using on Mac. No dialog box pop up. Before this problem happened, there is no dialog box pop up when it is the first time I move to Photoshop to do the second edit, only after I finished the Photoshop edit and save the tiff in Lightroom and want to do the third PS edit, the dialog box will pop up. However right with the latest version, no dialog box, no Lightroom edited in Photoshop.

I'm sorry, you're right, that (first edit) pop-up happens when using plug-ins like Luminar or Nik, not Photoshop. Only when it sees a TIF does it ask you. Yeah, here's my real (unfortunately too late) tip:

NEVER use Auto-update, turn that feature off in Creative Cloud. Wait until you get the "all clear" from Jeff Harmon (Photo Taco Podcast) or Victoria Bampton (lightroomqueen.com) that it's OK to upgrade. Good luck!

Are really all edits gone, or could it be just the effect of a custom profile? There is an issue with custom profiles not getting recognised by Photoshop. Lightroom Classic 10: Color profile NOT embedded in exporting to Photoshop V22

LUT/Colour Profile applied in Lightroom not present when exported to Photoshop 2021 for adjustment

Are you using any LUTs?

If you do not know, then highly likely no, that takes some extra work.

I do not have a link, but some discussion about this problem and LUTs
