Photos disappear in develop

Ok cant find anything anywhere on this one. I have imported my RAW files (standard import). They are all visible in library module but once I move to develop, the screen goes black, yet the photos are still visible in filmstrip and navigator. WHY? How can I fix this. I am uptodate.

Go to Preferences - Performance and disable the use of the Graphics processor.

I notice a similar problem when I have zoomed 1:1 before going into Develop. If the image doesn't show up soon, I click it to bring it back to Fit and then it appears. Also when I switch back to the grid and am zoomed in 1:1, I often have to click the image to make it Fit before it appears again. Personally, I would rather put up with this than turn off the Graphics processor.

Niall,
Which is your operating system?
Please let us know if disabling "Use Graphic Processor" in Preferences > Performance solved the issue?

Thanks,
Sunil
