Move LR start or end points? CC 8.4 Desktop Classic

Trying to figure out how to move the start and end points of a Tone Curve.  See screenshot of an example of this in action below (was found in a preset).  However when I try to click on the end - lower LH corner or upper RH corner - of the diagonal starting point - it does nothing.  I can easily add points long the line and bend - but never move the very beginning or end spot.  I've tried command, control, option combos  - but nothing.

What am I missing?

BTW -  How can CC desktop be cloud  - it's desktop right?

Soooooo confusing for something so simple.

Two versions please -
1. LR Desktop
2.  LR Cloud

Click the button in the lower right hand side of the tone curve window.

You are in the parametric curve panel. You cannot adjust individual points in that panel. To access the point curve, click the button in the lower right hand corner. That will switch you to the point curve panel.

The point curve panel works like the curves tool in Photoshop. You can select and move individual points to adjust the curve. And you can adjust individual channels.

The best thing about Lightroom’s curve tools is that you can use both in the same image and the effect is cumulative.

Click the box to the right or switch to point curve.

Ahhhhhh - OK I get it now.   It's always seemed like that click was closing the editor because all the sliders go away.  But it actually switches to channels.  It's really strange behavior when one is used to using the Curves Adjustment Layer in PS - which consolidates all this into one.  This tracks right in line with the desktop is cloud continuity.  lol  Thanks!
