LR Classic so slow on my Mac
Hello,
User of Lr 4 then 5 then 6, I've decide to switch to CC because LR 6 becomes far too slow on my computer and it is obvious adobe will switch to a new economic model.
Error, LR 7 is about same slow, even worse. And I need to use LR Classic to compensate LR CC weakness.
Here is my setup :
I

And here is an example with a very little library o

So adobe either you empower LR CC, either you empower Classic, but actually none of the are usable thanks to selective missing tools for CC or lag in Classic.
Come on, we pay 24€/month!!!

If that doesn’t work try launching Lightroom from your other (admin or test) account, with a new catalog, as a test. Does it run OK? If it does it may be a corrupted preference in your Username/Library folder. Check The Lightroom Queen site for instructions on how to reset your LR preferences (https://www.lightroomqueen.com).

I've launch onyx, restart save boot, launch onyx on save boot, reset Lightroom preset tanks to Lightroom queen (https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/) (Victoria is probably one of the most influent en capable person regarding LR)
But no, LR classic is laggy as heel
I think I will uninstall and install start from scratch
Same fo LR CC, I will install and start from scratch
pffff sad to spend more time optimize LR than use LR

And I'm afraid because of next iteration of osx and potential compatibility problem
Sync is done 5 photos at a time. So slow. Resulting I can't even Classic to use it with photos imported in CC

I’m thinking about next gen MBP with 32gb ram
But LR CC runs smooth. Same for Photos
So I wonder if LR 7 is not a dead alive software.
Actually I wonder if LR 6 is not faster. Need to try.
