Lightroom/Camera Raw: Lens profile support for Olympus Micro Four-Thirds lenses coming?

Please, please add support for Olympus Micro Four-Thirds lenses in the form of lens profile support (esp. M.Zuiko 1.8 12 mm and 45 mm primes)! I have read here that Lightroom would apply automatic distortion and vignetting correction... but when I pull down the list of manufacturers there isn't a single Olympus model (although the list contains some at least for me exotic sounding names)?

I *think* it does this automatically and not explicitly for those lenses.

Thanks for the request.

If you weren't aware already, you can create your own lens profiles with the Adobe Lens Profile Creator or you can download user-contributed profiled lenses through the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader.

If you create any profiles, you can upload them using the same Adobe Lens Profile Downloader mentioned above to share with the rest of the community.

Thanks for your quick responses!

However, I'm not sure what to make out of it. Is Lightroom either applying automatic correction (in the background) or not? If LR does it automatically, I really do not need to see any entry in the drop down menu for the sake of completeness... but my impression is that if LR would apply correction, it would probably also list these lenses in the drop down menu, no?

Also, while I understand that the lens profile creator exists, I was always under the impression that this was (A) an interim/stop gap solution while Adobe rolled out official support and (B) not meant to be used by (bloody) amateurs like myself (as opposed to cutting edge professionals who always strive for maximum flexibility)?

As a paying longstanding customer, I kind of envisaged that Adobe could take up a suggestion for the engineering team and would not simply deflect to home brew efforts...

Dear Jeff,

Thanks again for the quick and sensible response.

I've read here (http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...) that "camera profiles and lens correction for Olympus E-M5" have already been created... will this be coming in the final release version 4.1...?
