Lightroom uses Nikon's SDK. According to this page https://sdk.nikonimaging.com/apply/ Nikon only added it to the SDK in June - AFTER Lightroom 3.4.1 was released. So I'm not surprised it doesn't have that capability yet.
3.5 is due out soon, and of course there's a chance it may be in that release, but there hasn't been official word either way.
