Lightroom: Support Nikon 600d tethering

Why was there no support for 600d for tethered capture added to LR4? It was already missing in 3 and 550d is supported which is basicly same camera.

"Support" is a tricky thing. Adobe is just using the SDK provided by the vendor, and then a subset of the cameras supported by the SDK can be officially certified.

The Canon EOS 550D and 600D are essentially the same camera. I'm baffled as to why there's no tethering support for the 600D?

I shoot children's photos and many of them would love/benefit from seeing images come up on screen! But LR doesn't support tethered shooting from a Nikon D600. Come on, Adobe, help me out! Soon! Please!

I'm confused ... is this thread about the Nikon D600 ... or the Canon 600d ...

Christopher & Andrew ... if you are on Mac OS X ... you can tether using ImageCapture ... free app included with OS X ... then point Lr to a watched folder of the image imports from tether ... it's a little laggy compared to direct tether into Lr and you don't have any direct camera controls from within Lr ... but it works for instant appraisal of your images and you don't have to wait for anyone to get it done for you ... Thankfully Apple seems to take timely tethering support just a bit more seriously.

Hi,
Lightroom 4.3 and 4.4RC do not support tethered capture for the Nikon D600.
Do you have any idea of which release will support this camera?
Thanks,
FG

I have downloaded the new 4.4 release and it doesn't support tethered capture yet; What about the next release?
