Lightroom: Should have 100% full screen mode

Lightroom should have a true "Full Screen" mode. No borders of any kind.
I should be able to use 100% of my screen to see my photos.
There is no need for borders. The panels could still be accessed by moving the pointer to the edge of the screen.

Roberto,

I am not disagreeing with you, but if you hit the [F] key twice and then [Shift][Tab] away all your panels, the amount of screen real estate left to the 'interface' is minimal.

What additional gain do you see you would get by having that 3-4% additional space? How could you use it in a way you don't now?

"the amount of screen real estate left to the 'interface' is minimal."

My contention is that it could be zero. Why throw away part of the screen when I could be using it productively?

"What additional gain do you see you would get by having that 3-4% additional space? How could you use it in a way you don't now?"

3-4% seems like a small amount until you actually see a picture full screen. Then you notice how much better it is. But not only that, the amount is only 3-4% when you are using "fill" mode. If you use "fit" mode (to see the whole image), Lightroom leaves a margin around all four edges. This is purely for aesthetic purposes, because you only need margins next to two parallel edges. That image could be 13% larger if there were no bars or additional margins.

The additional space is especially important when working with verticals because they are already using a lot less of the screen, and any bit helps.

Adobe seemed to think the "F" command was important to reclaim the space taken up by the title bar and the menu bar (Mac). Why? Because that little extra space does make a difference. And yet, the title bar and the menu bar together take up the same space a Lightroom's panel bars, and those margins are extra. Why not go all the way?

BTW, this should not have been merged with the Lion Full Screen topic because they are not the same thing.
