LIGHTROOM Publish Bug even worse on 5.2RC
I am still getting the publish bug when selecting a publish collection, and you have managed to make it even worse than before. Now the publish collection becomes 'sticky' so once I select a publish collection I cannot select anything else - folder, collection or publish collection. The only way to rectify this is to restart the program. Am using a MacPro with Mountain Lion and 5.2RC.
This is really appalling as it is taking a lot more time for me to achieve anything!

With v5 I had the standard Publish bug introduced (in third party Publish collections as well as bundled Lightroom ones). When I updated to 5.2RC the problem has got worse, now the collections are 'sticky' so if I click on a publish collection and then click on something else the flimstrip and the preview don't change - they stay showing the first selected collection.
If I select the thumbnail view this changes to show the selected collection, but the filmstrip doesn't update at all! Even selecting a different module/folder etc doesn't help. The only way to sort it is to restart Lightroom!

1. create a new Collection and drag one photo to this collection
2. create a new Flickr publish service and create a new collection within this Flickr publish service, drag another photo to this collection
3. select the Flickr collection to preview the photo
4. switch to the Collection created in Step 1, then you found the filmstrip and navigator preview are NOT changed to the current selected collection
Is my understanding right?
I had the same steps and I found the filmstrip and preview window are all updated correctly. So could you can attached screenshots or video capture about your steps, it will be helpful for us.
Which build are you using? Please also post your system info, thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I am having the issue with previously created Lightroom publish collections, including those using the LR Flickr collection and the Photoshelter Archive plug-in.
I have a whole series of Publish Collections created. If I click on one of the collections for the first time, then the preview and flimstrip update; but if I subsequently click on a subsequent collection then they don't update.
I have tried optimizing the catalog, but this doesn't seem to have helped at all!
Would screen shots of this help at all?
Cheers,
Steve

Which version of Lightroom you used to create your collection? Lightroom 4.4 or 5.0? Is your catalog upgraded from a previous version?
If you create a new catalog and then create several publish collection in the new catalog, can you reproduce this problem?

Happy to send in the newly created catalog to see if you can reproduce the problem. Is there any error log/debugging I can switch on for you to get to the bottom of this?

When I select a publish service and then select a folder in my catalog the images that were in the publish service remain stuck there and nothing from the catalog is displayed. Restarting is the only way I can fix it.

Interestingly the issue cleared itself when I manually went through each publish collection and published any new/updated images that were in there.
Haven't had the issue since!
OR, it could have just been a coincidence!!!

Now it seems to be behaving itself. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Thanks for your help!

All I've got left is my Flickr publish service with 2 published photos in it. Soon as I click on that and then click elsewhere it gets stuck on the 2 photos.

Have you tried updating to the full release of Lightroom 5.2?
Choose Help > check for updates from within Lightroom to invoke the updater.
