Lightroom: Provide opacity slider to presets
Hi,
Presets are often too strong, so it would be great to have a slider to control preset strength. I find myself needing this more and more, as add-on programs to Lightroom (On-1, Nik, etc.) make a growing amount of presets available.
There are 3rd-party plugins that allow presets to be faded, but it would be so much more efficient and seamless to have this feature built into Lightroom. Similar to the Amount slider in the Adjustment Brush.
Having a preset opacity slider built into Lightroom would allow one immediately to finetune the look that a preset makes possible, to choose how strongly that look is applied, thus improving and speeding up the develop process of images.
I really hope that Adobe will incorporate this feature soon. It would be a great enhancement of the program.
Thanks for your consideration.

In other programs, like Alien Skin or film emulators, there is an option to change the intensity (opacity) of the overall look, like you would do to a layer in Photoshop. I think this would be really helpful in lightroom, especially when it comes to presets, because they can often be too strong and manually finding the balance is often time consuming and frustrating.

It would be awesome if Lr had an opacity control for presets! Sometimes I just wanna use 50% of a preset. Think about that =)

But I agree that it would be nice to have something like that built in.

I would REALLY love opacity sliders in each development panel, specifically on the tone curve adjustment panel. I find that I have a ton of curve presets, in varying amounts for different situations, but most times I still need to tweak the coordinates to suit each picture. I often just want to bring all my coordinates down or up by the same amount to increase/decrease the effect (not easy to do precisely without being able to input the coordinates with the keyboard), which is essentially the same as raising/lowering an opacity slider. I would like it if the slider could go above 100% so a tone curve could be increased and not simply decreased.

Would like to have 1) A LR opacity slider for presets so they're not on full blast. And 2) An import filter to only import images and not video files from a card. Thank you :)
