Lightroom: Presets don't work well in LR 4.1

Some,but not all my own presets don't work very well.
When I click on them, only Saturaton/tint/WB values changes. The rest of the values(eg, exposure,black point,clarity,recovery,etc) are not changed. It fixes itself once I click on the presets that do work and then after that click on the not working preset.

None of the other LR versions have this issues(I have LR 2 and 3 installed.)

I experienced nearly the same thing with one single photo in a test catalog, but only once. The preset contains white balance and all tone settings, and when clicking on it, the active photo did not change.

However, after switching to another photo and back, it worked, and now I cannot reproduce it anymore.

By the way: You mentioned back point etc., so I assume your preset was for PV2010, and also included the process version, is that correct? The same is the case for my test preset.

From Kelly Castro on the Lightroom team: Sounds like you are attempting to apply a 2010 Process Version preset to an image set to to 2012 Process Version and wondering why some of the settings aren’t making the transition. The solution is to go back and resave the preset with the 2010 Process Version checked.

This does not apply at least for my case. The photo was already set to PV 2010, and the preset contained white balance, all tone settings and the process version - also set to PV 2010.

I changed some of the photo's tone settings deliberately (exposure, black point, brightness...), and then tried to apply the preset (klicked on it) - nothing happend, the photo's settings stayed on the deliberately changed values. However, after switching to another photo and back, it suddenly worked, and I could not reproduce it since then.

P.S. If I remember correctly, there was also a strange other effect while the problem persisted: Normally, when selecting a photo that has *not* been set to any preset in the past (or changed otherwise since then), no preset is highlighted in the preset list. However, for the affected photo, the preset in question was already highlighted in the preset list, although it never has been applied to this particular photo. Furthermore, changing some settings normally cause the highlighting of a preset to disappear - but this was also not the case for the affected photo. Too bad I cannot reproduce it anymore - something specific must have triggered that behaviour.
