Lightroom mobile: Sync issues

Any ideas from Abobe on this?

I’ve noticed that one of my images that did get synced to LRM actually, when I exported it to my cameral roll, resorted to the pre-PS edited version.

I think I can repro this now.  Let me ask a question -- do you see this if you edit in PS without making any changes in LR first?

I always make some sort of adjustent in LR first, usually basic corrections like lens or colour. Some are done automatically in LR on import too.

I've noticed that sometimes in Library view the thumbnail  of a particular image is correct but when I move to Develop and click on the filmstrip thumbnail an older version of the image is displayed (even though it's thumbnail is the correct version). It then reverts to the newer version of the image when I'm in another window (in this case Chrome, as I'm typing this on the 2nd monitor), but when I move back the LR the main image (in Develop) reverts back to a previous version when I toggle between filmstrip thumbnails). It's just very odd behaviour and is making my experience using LR Mobile largly impossible to work with.

One more question -- how were the affected files originally imported?  From Mobile or the newer LR CC (not Classic)?

All imported to Lightroom CC Classic v7.1 (I installed a later version but that had bugs so reverted back)

Also, which of the options are you using:
- Edit a copy with LR adjustments
- Edit a copy
- Edit Original

Sorry for the ongoing delay.

One more question here -- do you get a different result after you close the image in PS?  There is logic in LR that waits until PS has closed (not just saved) the image to avoid creating multiple versions when a user is still working in PS.  Can you check if doing so makes a difference in the results that you are seeing?

Hi all, I have this same problem.  I'm importing into Lightroom Classic (TIFFs that are scanned), editing in photoshop, closing the image (photoshop remains open) and the images are not synced to Lightroom CC. 

I found a possible solution Dayve and Photoshop team, but it requires deleting the Smart Previews and possibly also the Previews directories on the Hard Drive. One were roughly 50GB combined. After deleting them and opening Lightroom, I noticed that the orientation of my photos were correct in people view. Next I went to Lighthrook CC and saw that my synced collection photos were still not showing correctly - they were the original previews before editing. Next I went back to Lightroom and began rating all my photos and this seemed to trigger Lightroom to create a new Smart Preview and sync it to CC. I think the issue has something to do with Smart Preciews and Lightroom not knowing that it should create a new one. Now I am not sure if this issue will be fixed going forward - I need to start my scanning and import process again and see if the issue returns. It may. If it does I will write the steps down on how to fix this so that it may help you and others until Lightroom or Photoshop team fixes the issue.

Thank you for that. I'm nor sure how wide this issue is but we are both experiencing it so it must be a thing.

Looking forward to hearing if you have a permanent workaround in due course. The only way I managed to work around this was to create a new version of the problem file each time. Not a good solution as it takes up space and can get confusing as to which version is which. Lightroom should not make life this complicated.
