Lightroom Mobile: Camera puts images in last open album

I noticed the same, clearly a bug.
You can find recent shots from the phone in the upper section “LR Camera Photos”, then delete the album tags for these photos. (Until Adobe sorts this bug)

This is as designed. Whatever album is selected is where the captured images go. Select All Photos for the images to go into the general catalog and not into a specific album.

Jeffrey, I understand this is the design. My use case is that I use LR Classic CC for 2 reasons: I have limited internet upload/download volume and 13,000 photos and I like to take cruises, where internet is extremely limited. My photos are related to family experiences and vacations. Very often, a conversation will emerge in which it would be nice to see a photo of the topic and my only available tool is my iPhone. Because keywords do not transfer to LR Mobile, I’ve developed a very convoluted system of Collections that are synced to mobile—photos by year, within year photos by events, and within events photos by year. That coupled with the AI search function works fairly well (but not as well as if you would bring keywords into mobile!). As a result, the selected collection on my phone is wherever my last conversation ended. When I take a photo on my iPhone with LR, it appears on the desktop version in a folder labeled mobile (or something similar)—which works great. I can keyword and post process it, then move it into the collection(s) I want.

I believe your suggestion is that, prior to taking a photo, I would select All Photos and then the photo will only go there. That would mean I’d have to remember to do that. I also note there is a grouping called Lr camera photos that also contains the photo I just took. My ask is for a setting that permits me to select: Add only to LR Camera Photos, Always add to some specified collection, or Always add to last collection viewed (or something similar). Alternatively, I’d be very happy if you’d allow keywords to be available and searchable in mobile. Actually, what I’d really like is a LR desktop setting that says: synch all photos with mobile, and a mobile setting that says, download all photos for offline use.

I really like Lightroom, and appreciate you and your team’s efforts.
