Lightroom: Manual Slide Shows with Fade Control

I love using Lightroom. However, I do a lot of slideshows. Right now I only have a choice to assign a duration to all slides and fades in between. If I choose to do the show in manual mode (so I can linger on specific slides) I can use the arrow buttons on my computer or the computer's remote. However, when I do a manual show I cannot control the fade at all.

Please consider separating the slide duration and fade duration controls so I can change slides manually, but still have a fade in between them.

I would suggest an alternate solution for you.

Instead of doing a manual show, run the automated show and use your space bar to stop and start the show where you like. This way you can take advantage of title slides and transitions.

I don't think people should have to adopt that alternative, Rikk. There's no real reason why users shouldn't expect to be able to run a manual show with transitions. Other programs have done this for years.

Oh, I agree that it would be nice to have a manual control. In the interim, this satisfies the need.

I appreciate the responses. I actually have used the spacebar alternative when I can be near the computer, but I am often far away from it using a wireless remote that has the arrow keys on it but no equivalent to a spacebar.

We're with you! I recently helped someone present a career retrospective to a very sophisticated London audience, and I really hated showing slides without smooth transitions. Luckily they'd all had more than enough wine first so they probably saw all sorts of Ken Burns and cross fade effects.....

The concept is, if Adobe don't give us those smooth transitions, they have to pony up for the wine that makes folk think they've seen 'em. How does that sound?

I posted the same problem more than 1 year ago. It seems to be that ADOBE until know unfortunally will not repair this Problem.

Hi there,

I just updated to the latest version (LR 5.7) and unfortunately the bug wasn't fix again!

Could you please!!! hurry up fixing this issue? Why does it take ages to solve this problem? It's known for over 7 months.
