Lightroom: Make snapshot names more useful.

Good idea.

Workaround for the mean time: give the snapshot a prefix number so you control the ordering as desired - I recommend 2 digits in case you end up with more than 9 snapshots.

I could even go for a "default date/time format" preference which applies to *all* date-times when formatting is not otherwise specify-able.

I almost always want my dates in YYYY-MM-DD format.

Yeah I've been doing that for a while now, It would just be nice if I didn't have to mess with it at all.

Please no. Make it a preset, sure. But don't force anyone to associate a snapshot with a date. Not everyone uses them in this manner.

I wasn't recommending that (I said "default"!). Lightroom 4 currently auto-fills the text area with the date, but in a format that does not lend itself to sorting.

Is something for this ever going to happen?

Right now I use 'snap and mark' by Robe Colde, but for that I have to go though the menu system.. Which kinda sucks if I just want a super quick snapshot.
