Lightroom: LR4 Beta: Why aren't 32bit Mac systems supported? (Intel CoreDuo 32bit/Mac 10.6.8)

Why does Mac LR4 not include 32 bit when MS download has the options of 32 or 64 bit

Because the requirements state "Macintosh: Multicore Intel® processor with 64-bit support".

Official explanation for dropping specific OS support (including Mac 32bit) for Lightroom 4:

My question was WHY does the Mac 32 bit owner appear to be dis-advantaged compared to the MS 32 bit owner.

The Lightroom team is going post an official blog post on this subject and the reasoning for dropping support for Windows XP. I'll link to it once it's posted.

This does not answer my question. If I am a Mac owner OS 10.6.8 Duo core running at 32bit and can not run LR4. If I was a MS owner running 32bit you provide a 32bit version as well as 64bit. Why do yo not do the same for Macs.

No, it tells you that the Lightroom team is preparing an official answer.

I am asking why Windows gets 32bit cover and Mac does not. Can Mac please have 32 bit cover. It is obvious from the number of posts concerning LR4 not opening on Macs that you are cutting off a large number of customers who will want to upgrade, and would if you produced a 32bit version.
