Lightroom: LR 4 import crashes when a Android Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is connected.

This was fixed in the CC 2015.1 / 6.1 Update.

I had the same issue, glad I found this. When my Galaxy Nexus is connected, I am unable to import anything without Lightroom crashing.

Same for SGS 3

LR4.2 and LR4.3 (64bit) both crash when trying to import photos while my samsung galaxy s3 is connected via a USB cable. if the S3 is connected prior to LR turns on, it simply won't even open. I'm using Windows 7.

Attempting Import of Images Crashes Lightroom 4.

Windows 7 64. Lightroom 4

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II and I have installed Samsung's Kies program for synchronising the phone and Outlook. I believe Kies installs it's own version of the Media device driver, but I may be wrong.

If I try to import images into Lightroom whist the phone is connected to my computer, Lightroom crashes. Lightroom is not affected in any other way.

When I open the Import dialog in Lightroom and my mobile phone (Android) is connected via USB, Lightroom (5.2 RC) crashes.

Lightroom 5.2 crashes when Importing files while my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is plugged in to the computer via USB cable. (Windows 7) Crash happens when trying to select hard drive directory which contains my photos. (note: the phone does show up in the list, but I'm not selecting it.)
So far, 100% repeatable.

I have lightroom 4.4 on Windows 7 and the combo of having a Samsung Galaxy S3 plugged in on the USB port for charging causes lightroom crash immediately upon trying to start an import. I unplugged the phone the import dialog runs without issue.

This has always happened when I try to import photos directly from my Samsung Galaxy 3--both with 4.0 and 5.2. I work around it by copying the image files to my hard drive first. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Same issue, Lightroom 4.4 64-bit on Windows 7. Samsung Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. Crashes immediately on opening the import dialog if the device is plugged in, or as soon as the device is detected if Lightroom import is already open.

Is anyone at Adobe going to take an interest? It might be (probably is) a problem with Kies, but I don't have a problem connecting other media devices.

Thanks for the pointer Steve Sprengel, but Lightroom 5.6 still crashes for me after renaming this plugin.

Specifically:
I renamed "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6\moxplugins\wpdmanager.mox" to be wpdmanager.mox_TEST
And it still crashed.

Then I tried renaming:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6\moxplugins\usbmanager.mox" to usbmanager.mox_TEST
And it still crashed.

The crash I'm referring to is when I have my cell phone (Samsung Note 3) plugged in to my Win7 computer by USB, and I try to Import into Lightroom. At the time I click Library->Import and the directory/file browser comes up, the program locks up and then crashes. 100% repeatable.

The important thing is what module is it crashing in after renaming the module plug-in named in the first crash report.

If it's still listing the renamed plug-in in the crash report then move the plug-in somewhere else outside of the LR folders. And make sure LR is not running when you're doing the rename or move.
