Lightroom: Library filter / find / search text for multiple terms
In LR 3.4 the text search function is weak. There's no way to search on multiple terms using a boolean OR. The text filters as currently implemented are inadequate. Contains Words applies a logical AND so each word must be present in the field for a result to be returned.
My work-around is to search first on one term, add the results to a quick collection, then search on the next term and add those results to the same quick collection. It gets tedious. For example, a client requests high-res files for four images and sends me their ID numbers (filename) in an e-mail. I can't search 0807396, 1100234, 0403289, 9611236 in one operation so I can quickly pop them into the develop module, make adjustments, and then export them as TIFFs. BTW, I use detailed captions but have weak keywording in a library of about 110,000 images.
I use a FileMaker Pro database as my master image database (no previews). I'd like to be able to search within Lightroom much as I search in FileMaker. It's relatively intuitive and sufficiently powerful.

You can also type 0807396, 1100234, 0403289, 9611236 into the same text box.

The refined search function is obviously contained within LR, just not available in text filtering.
