Lightroom: How do I display more than a simple grid for crop? (golden ratio, rule of thirds, etc)

Besides the simple grid displaying gridlines for golden ratio, rule of thirds etc. would be a great improvement (e.g. see the freeware tool digikam where it is perfectly implemented).

Press the O key (not the zero key) whilst the crop overlay is active and you will cycle through a variety of different overlays including thirds and golden spiral.

Shift-O will cycle through symmetrical variants of the various cropping aids.

Is there a way to create your own crop overlays? The general rules are great, but having something like a placeholder silhouette will be of great help cropping photos that will be used for school packages for example where the school logo will be on the photo.

Creating custom crop overlays will be awesome!

No, there isn't Heinrich, but if you look under the View menu in Library, you'll find a layout overlay designed primarily for tethered shooting. You'd need to switch back to Library to fire the photo with your custom overlay, but it might be a stopgap in the meantime, depending on your requirements.
