See the Keyboard Tamer plugin (http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/..., but only to modify shortcuts that already exist or to assign shortcuts to menu items. Unfortunately, I think the one you mention (purple) is not possible.

See this thread for how to assign a shortcut to the fifth color label (default purple):

(Keyboard Tamer doesn't know about color-label shortcuts.)

Hi John
This worked fine in 3.5 but I've set it up again in 3.6 but now it doesn't work.
Any ideas please?

thanks

Edward,

I just upgraded to 3.6 and it's working for me. Make sure you've copied Translatedstrings.txt from:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.5\Resources\en

to:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6\Resources\en

(or the equivalent folders on the Mac). In general, if you've modified TranslatedStrings.txt, you need to copy it to the new Resources folder each time you upgrade LR.

Hi
with the recent upgrade to Lightroom 6.8 (From 6.7)  I cannot find an equivalent 6.8 folder for:

Lightroom CC 2015.8

I am still using the desktop based software, and this is the first upgrade that I have not been able to get the Ctrl+9 command to work.

Can you please advise on how to make this work again?

thanks in advance

On Windows, for English it is:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\Resources\en

Adobe has changed the filename, it is now:

TranslatedStrings_Lr_en_US.txt
