Lightroom: How can I see which pictures take place in my cloud storage?

To my knowledge, I have removed all the (full res) pictures I had imported through iPad to cloud. I’m always very careful to separate full res images (uploads) and smart previews (synced, downloads), as they do not account for the same in the cloud storage. However, I’m still with over 5 Go on the cloud, despite having NO FULL RES images synced.HOW CAN I KNOW WHAT IT IS without unsyncing my entire catalog?Cheers!

I have a similar workflow and have not found a solution for that problem yet.

You can check two things:
- If you use one of the Photoshop apps, delete all projects there. They seem to count on the cloud storage without being a file in the Creative Cloud folder.
- If you deleted the last originals from Lightroom CC today, wait until tomorrow and see if the cloud storage is still in use. I normally have to wait overnight, until the space becomes available.

You can see in the iPad app in the info view, if an original is available. But you can not filter on that. So, looking through all images on the iPad is perhaps even worse than unsyncing/resyncing the entire catalog.

No photoshop projects... I barely use photoshop, and certainly no cloud version of Ps ;)

I’ll wait overnight and see what happens...
Thanks

In my experience the number isn't always accurate, but you need to review two areas:
  1. Originals in the Lightroom cloud. To find these with certainty I think the only way is to install the Lightroom Cloudy app on your Mac/PC and filter All Photos by the Sync Status - Synced and Backed Up.
  2. Files in the Dropbox-like CC assets. While you can see the space usage in Explorer/Finder, it's better to examine it in a web browser as the Deleted items also use space. You can also see libraries and other mobile app projects.

I hope it will update overnight, because I’ve nothing left in the cloud. There’s no way I will risk to corrupt my data with the Cloudy LR :( worst case, I’ll unsync and resync everything. It will take ages and bandwidth, but I’ll let it run overnight at work.

There is nothing in my “assets”. Neither in the “deletes”, nothing...

Lightroom Cloudy won't corrupt anything, so install it if you want to know what originals are using up your space. You don't have to do anything with it (even if it did much).

Thanks! I'd assume it would try to migrate or whatever my Classic catalog to "Cloudy" LR. ;)

No. There is a menu command to migrate, which I would certainly avoid - it will mark your synced Classic catalogue so it won't sync any more. Instead you just connect Cloudy to your account by signing in, just like you would sign in a mobile app. It doesn't do much more than the mobile app, but it does have a filter that shows what's "synced and backed up" - ie originals in the cloud.

Thanks a lot! That will definitely help a lot in the future! Maybe it will fil the gaps (/bugs) with the current apps :-)

Mods, can you change this to a bug or feature request ?
