Lightroom: Help article gives wrong information about the option Use Graphics Processor

The help article GPU troubleshooting and FAQ gives misleading information about the impact of the option Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor. Anyone reading that article would conclude that disabling the option would only affect display problems in the Develop module, not other modules, since the top of the article states:

"Caution: ...The Develop module is the only module that currently uses GPU acceleration. Commands and processes outside the Develop module aren't affected."

In the user-to-user forum, experts are still giving out the advice that Use Graphics Processor applies to Develop only.

But Simon Chen recently posted that, in LR 7.2, the Use Graphics Processor option now controls graphics operations in the Library module also (apparently, the use of Direct2D on Windows). And indeed, a number of people have reported working around problems in Library and Map by disabling the option.

Thanks John. That's one of the documents that could use a little love. I'll see what we can do.
