Lightroom: Filter and Sort by Comment or Likes

Now that we can share individual collections with clients via public links & those we share with are able to comment & "like" photos, it seems like it would be mega helpful to be able to sort, in the catalog, by comments. Essentially, eliminating everything that doesn't have a comment or a "like" from the view.

For collections synced with LR Mobile, you can sort by last comment time, in descending order:

This will put all pics with likes or comments at the top of Library grid view, and you can look at the badges on the pics to see the dividing line between ones with likes/comments and ones without:

Would love to have flag/reject enabled for clients or have like & dislike.
And then to be able to sort and filter by it

Not really a duplicate. This is more specific.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled LIGHTROOM - Search web gallery on Likes.

Why when a client goes to a cloud gallery they can't make Star or Flag selections they way I can.

Why can I NOT filter or search on these LIKES in the desktop LR. It makes no sense at all, none, that we can't filter on Likes and Comments. Judging by the number of people complaining about this in a Google search for over a year, I would think it would done all ready.

Why not make it a real tool? So that a client can do the same rating/flagging to an image as I can when I'm logged on to the web gallery?

Could not agree more. I use galleries to send large batches of photos to clients who often have multiple people in need of feedback and selecting (such as for ID photos and company headshots) and I use likes for them to select the photos they actually want.

I want to be able to have this come into Lightroom once, click one button and have it narrowed down to a selection of just the photos that have likes. I know I can sort by last comment time, but after I review the comments, I have to reset the filter if I don't set a flag on them the first time.

I've been searching around online too because I honestly cannot believe that such a simple and HUGELY important and useful feature hasn't been better implemented. It takes this feature of Lightroom that could make it THE be-all, end-all tool for managing an efficient workflow end-to-end and makes me wonder if there are better alternatives out there for proofing.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get this better implemented! It would be a gamechanger.

It seems to me they are more interested in making LR 'dumber' for amateurs (who will never use something like LR) than improving the features that professionals need.

I know they put restored the import workflow to where it was before that 6.2 debacle. But the mere fact that they spent so much time and resources on coming up with that horror, demonstrates where their heads are at.

Why would you allow clients to like the photos on the LR Mobile/Public URL.... sync that activity back to the catalog.. and NOT let me filter on that??!? It makes ZERO sense. Come on.. SO close.

I too think you should be able to filter and search on comments and likes.  But as an inferior workaround, you can select Sort: Last Comment Time when viewing a single synced collection, and photos with likes and comments will come first.  However, you can't do that with more than one synced collection selected.
