Lightroom: External hard drive trouble

I am working in Lightroom 6. I have PC and have an external hard drive attached. When I open my hard drive in Lightroom is shows a folder titled 2016 with images I have taken in the last several months. However, there is another folder labeled 2015 that does not even display in lightroom. When I open up the drive files on my computer I can see photos in the 2015 folder and they say älready imported. How do I get my files to show back up in Lightroom that have already been imported?

Click on that folder in LR and select SYNCHRONIZE

I will try this but my problem is I can't even see that folder in lightroom. I can see it on the hard drive if I open the drive on computer. In lightroom import it says those pics are imported, but I can't see the folders for those pics in lightroom.

Try and copy a new photo to that folder. Import that. You will then see the folder in LR. Try synchronize

So....I decided to check for updates in Lightroom this morning to rule that out.  So I updated lightroom and restarted my computer.  Now I am getting this message.  Unable to open the program due to api-ms-win-crt-runtime-11-1-0-dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem :(    So do I unistall and reinstall at this point?

Ok....so I went to this site and downloaded the windows 7 x64.  Then when it opened, it said it wasn't applicable to this computer.  I reloaded lightroom 6 which opens now, but I can't access my panasonic lumix files without the lightroom update.
