Lightroom: External Editing preference "stack above" or "stack below"

In the Lightroom 4 External Editing preferences, there is a preference "Stack with original". With this enabled, external edits are always stacked below the original. I would like external edits to stack above originals, and currently that is not possible.

Please provide a further preference "stack above" or "stack below", with respect to the original.

Curiously, this functionality already exists in the Export dialogue - where there is an "Add to Stack" option with a further choice given to the user: "Below Original" or "Above Original".

Please consider adding this control for external edits.

Sigh, in LR 3, external edits were always stacked above the original, which seems like what most people would want. I don't recall seeing any requests to change the behavior on these forums.

I wonder if this change was deliberate?

I recently saw a thread (on another forum) where someone reported that the "backward stacking from LR4 beta" has been resolved. I wonder if they are/were referring to the external edit stacking behavior described above. I can not yet confirm this myself (I'm still waiting on a LR4 upgrade key from Adobe).

[I should have been clearer in stating that the original comment was based on behavior seen with the LR4 beta, before the full LR4 release was available.]

I just upgraded from LR 4 beta to LR 4, and this bug is fixed -- external edits are put on the top of the stack, not the bottom.
