Solved

Lightroom: Export > Resize to Fit > Long Edge not working

Lightroom CC 2015.7 export with Long Edge used to Resize to Fit actually resizes the short edge, not the long edge. Short Edge works as expected. Workaround is to use Dimensions instead of Long Edge.

Seems to be working fine for me in Lr CC 2015.7 on Win10 exporting CR2 RAW files to JPG.

Perhaps you could give more specifics on what you're doing along with a few example images - pre & post export - and a screenshot of your export settings?

Should have pointed out this is on OS X.  Details here: http://mikepasini.com/corners/2016/11/07-lightroom-export/index.htm

Seems to be working fine for me on OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan in LR CC 2015.7 exporting NEF RAW files to JPEG.

Mike, reset your preference file.

Close Lightroom. Hold down [Opt]+[Shift] and launch Lightroom. Overwrite the preferences when prompted.

Does your Export dimension behavior work now?

Yes, it does. Long edge is resized to the specified dimension. Thanks!

Didn't work for me. This was my last shot. I've tried everything, I've even uninstalled Lightroom Classic 7 and upgraded to the new Lightroom Classic. Long edge option is sitll not resizing my file properly. Instead, it assigns my chosen parameter for this edge (1080px) to the short one, and enlarges the long one to 1532px. So frustrating, I've been trying to solve this for 24h already. Could it be I'm working with smart previews? Does it affect the process of exporting the file?

It works fine for me, but what you can try is using 'Width & Height' and then fill in 1080 pixels for both sides. That should definitely work.
