Lightroom Classic: Zoom position gets changed (in compare view) when skipping one picture with the keyboard right arrow
Hello,
now there is a new problem connected with LrC10:
When using the compare view to compare several pictures the zoom position is changed (in both pictures) when skipping one picture with the keyboard right arrow. This is very annoying when comparing pictures shot in a series.
Help will be appreciated.
Regards
Markus

When you say "zoom position", do you mean which part of the photo is displayed (e.g. upper-right corner), or do you mean the zoom level (e.g. Fit, 100%, 200%)?
In my LR 10 / Windows and LR / Mac, both the zoom position and the zoom level are preserved as I use right-arrow in Compare view. This with View > Lock Zoom Position checked and unchecked.
Perhaps you could make a screen recording, showing grid view and then invoking Compare view:

Upload the recording to Dropbox, Youtube, or similar and post the sharing link here.
You could try resetting LR's preferences:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/
LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. The article explains how to restore your old preferences file if it doesn't help.
