Lightroom Classic: Wrong paper size error with DS40 dye sub

I've been going round and round on this...prints fine in PS CC but not in LR5.. Mac OS 10.8 and 10.9 I have cups set correctly....LR seems to have redundant paper size settings that I get completely confused about..on left and right...but I tried to mimic as closely as possible PS CC settings...again, all I get is 'incompatible media size" ONLY with LR...works find in PS but I need to print for an event tomorrow and I'm VERY stressed...HELP, anyone? oh...paper size is 5x7...

confirmed that this only happens on Mac..not Win 7 or 8 so clearly there is a problem I believe on the LR end of things as DNP can make it print from other apps...any help much appreciated

HI,  I sorted this my creating a new user ID,  so I print with the new ID,   I went to an Apple Dealer and he suggested there maybe a preference issue.   SO I just created a new user and the issue went away,   Hope that helps

Stephen,

This is a very old thread and we need more information yet so we can attempt to help.

What is your OS and Version Number?
Are you attempting to print to the same model number Dye Sub printer as the original poster four years ago? If not, what is your printer model? What version of your printer's driver is installed?

A screen shot or two of your Paper Size settings would be helpful as well as a description of what is happening. (i.e. I try to print 8x10 but the comes out as 5x7 or I am trying to print 5x7 and the paper is 5x7 but the printer says it is the wrong size) The more information you can provide, the better.

Great news I found a fix and think I know where this problem stems from.
My solution was I opened an old version of lightroom 5 which I knew had always worked with my DS40 and made a print. I then opened up lightroom CC 2019 and in the print settings made sure I selected from the dropdown box and used last print setting and it worked.

The problem seemed to be the interface between the computer and lightroom and how to remembers print settings for non standard printers like dye subs.
