Lightroom Classic: Tethered live view
I would love to be able to use LiveView while also tethered to Lightroom.

Greetings
To all those who have participated in this thread we would like to invite you to a special test area to review, test and advise Adobe on in-process improvements to the tethered-capture process in Lightroom Classic CC. Currently we have testing available for Mac users with Canon Cameras. We plan to add other cameras and Windows to the mix in the future.
If you are interested in participating in this Tether prerelease testing and are a Mac user with a Canon camera currently supported for tethering, please reply to this comment. You will be contacted by Adobe with further instructions.
Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm for Lightroom Classic CC.Quality Engineering - Customer Advocacy

It would be an asset to support Live View in Tethered Capture. In my case, it would be for Nikon D750, but I am sure many others would love that feature too
Best regards, dcastigl@pt.lu

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I can't find any reference. Are there any updates to future Lightroom Classic releases that will allow live view whilst in tether mode? I've tried free plugins which are not reliable but Capture One has this feature. I don't want to have to use Capture One just for this single feature.

Today I'm working with a Sony A 77 II.
For Sony cameras it's even worse: there is not tethered capture at all.
I really like to work with Lightroom...
...but if the performance stays at this level (working with 24M images on a 4k Monitor is quite slow) then I will have to switch to Capture One, too.

I have canon 5ds i use lightroom cc the new one, but i recently bought some lens baby and manual focus camera lenses.
For portraits and camera tethered to my lightroom i have to use the viewfinder on camera to focus manually set up shot then take the photo with the button on my laptop but this is no good for me,
Using canons eos program it has a live view, instead of using viewfinder. i can choose live zoom at x6 and make sure using a sweet 35 lens i get the focus and sweet spot nailed first time, after taking with lightroom i then have to review it after I've taken it
support told me it can't be done, so the only point in tethering is sending image taken direct to laptop
i want when tethered a pop up screen showing the image on my laptop, before i take it
im now having to use both programs and more doubling the time it takes
surly tethering with a pre shot image for studio portrait commercially would be a benefit to those in business
