Lightroom Classic: Syncing Mobile Photos to my computers Library

Hi, Im currently using lightroom Classic and lightroom mobile. I have several colelctions synced and also use lightroom mobile to sync all of the photos from my phone on to my desk top.

The issue is it saves the downloaded photos in a separate directory from my lightroom library. (it saves them under "mobile download". Is there away to get these images saved directly into my lightroom library. I currently have a year/month directory/subdirectory setup.

thanks in advance
Chris

Hi Chris, I had the same issue and found a plugin from Geoffrey Fridl, Smart Collection Sync, please Google it.
There no normal way designed by Adobe. After 2 years syncing with the plugin, I have switched completely to LR C C 1TB plan and I am Happy with it.

Decide which folder you want them to go into. Then right click it and there's an option to make it the download folder. It takes you into Preferences where you can set up a folder structure. With only a little care, you can set things up so that new mobile photos arrive in the same folder as imports from flash cards.

Hi David, yes it is a good overview about what is synced and what not, but every release LR mobile become better and a lot of users can now switch completely to the mobile LR without missing a lot. I guess a pro user has no time to take care of all the sync trouble and stays with LR Classic. I am not such a pro user and switched completely to LR mobile two month ago. It was a lot of work to copy my subdirectory/smart collection structure to the LR mobile folder/album structure, but now I am happy.
