Lightroom Classic: "Suspected Duplicates" feature does not support change in timezones

I import ~200 photos from a SD card while I was traveling in Colombia. My laptop was set to Colombian timezone at the time.

After coming back to the US, I tried to import the rest of the photos from the same SD card, which still contains the ~200 photos that were imported previously. Lightroom Classic could not detect these ~200 as suspected duplicates and tried to import them again.

After changing my timezone from ET back to Colombian, Lightroom correctly detected the ~200 as duplicates and ignored them during import.

System Info:
Lightroom Classic version: 8.3.1 [ 201905241238-dcd7e2de ]
License: Creative Cloud
Language setting: en-US
Operating system: Mac OS 10
Version: 10.14.4 [18E226]

Behavior is as-designed. Changing to a feature request.
