Lightroom Classic: Preview for Tone Curve

LR CC 7.3
1. Save your Ton Curves.
2. Create a new Preset, give a name, and select only Tone Curve and Process Version in dialog box.

In ACR 10.3.9 Apply the preset

This is very easy.... and the name of the curve is displayed in tone Curve display box.....

I understand that’s a workaround and mentioned it in my post. I don’t think it’s too much to hope for this feature since they gave profiles their own preview when the same workaround could have been done instead. I was hoping it was a good idea and could just be implemented. The workaround does take extra time to make a preset, clutters single presets with combination presets and makes a longer list/more folders for all the curves I have. Also, when I know I want a tone curve adjustment I go to the tone curve panel, not the presets. Besides that it seems redundant. All the same reasons why I’m sure they gave profiles their own previews. ... I can clearly manage in the meantime, but again, I was just hoping since the previews have become bettter.

I'm not so sure it's possible to do previews off a pop-up menu - they didn't do it on the Profiles pop-up.
