Lightroom Classic: Pressure sensitivity with Wacom Tablet

Hey Rick, it seems to be a Lightroom issue. I just received my Gaomon pd1560, it works perfectly on Photoshop with all editing tools, brushes, sliders etc.
... But not on Lightroom.

1. The sliders stick. When pressing with the pen the slider does not move, I have to move the pen a couple of times from side to side and then the slider snaps to the cursor and then it moves.

2. When clicking on scrolling tab on the presets / library menu it might work, it might not. When it works sometimes the scroll is the opposite of the movement of the pen and sometimes with the movement of the pen (as it should be).

3. When clicking and going up and down on the Preset Tab (left) it sometimes it works and the menu goes up and down but most of the times it moves the film strip on the bottom :-(. 

I read at least two other forums people have the same problem regardless which brand tablet or version.

Again, I tried the tablet with Photoshop, Krita and medibang and they all respond perfectly fine. The problem has to be with Lightroom.

Just to add that the mouse works perfectly with Lightroom.

No Motti, no solution at all. I’m actually suprised more people haven’t complained over this issue, seems a pretty big fault to me. I’m resigned to using Lightroom without sensitivity and even considering using alternative software.

I also am surprised more people are not talking about it. I think that the majority of tablet users are Photoshop users, illustrators or animators.

My tablet is the Gaomon DP1560, a great tablet!  I just received a few days ago but it seems I do not have a choice but returning it. However, it seems other tablets have the same issue so what to do?

Using alternative software is also a solution. Try Exposure 3 by Alien Skin, I heard it's a solid app.

Adobe seems quiet about it. It is clearly something they changed but no word from them on fixing it.

That's too bad. I was so looking forward to finally working with a tablet.

Hi Henrik, there is pressure sensitivity in Lightroom brush.

I hear you James, I'm reverting back to Lr 6 CC until other issues have been solved. The only thing I'll miss from Lr Classic 7 CC is the luminance/colour limitation to graduated filters and local adjustments.

Or, move Capture One :-(. Tablets seem to work fine with this app. This tablet issue has been around since 2013 and until today no solution for many. It is a problem with Wacom or other tablets. Cheers
