Lightroom Classic: Please provide shortcut key sequence for Invert Selection on Edit pull down menu

Invert selection is a frequently used feature. It would be helpful if a shortcut key sequence was provided on the Edit pulldown menu. Assigning a custom key sequence does not work for this function.

Does command+shift+I not work for you?

No - that sequence brings me to the Import Screen.

My apologies, I thought this was a topic for Photoshop... I understand your concern now. Yes, I wish LR allowed for keyboard customization as well. I take it you're using Macs keyboard mapping feature? It may be that you didn't type the menu item exactly correct. Double check that first

Yes, using the Mac OS keyboard mapping feature in High Sierra worked for me, and Lightroom Edit menu pulldown Invert Selection custom key assignment is also displayed. This had not worked for me in some earlier os versions. Thank you so much !!

...just for the users that read this and want to know how it works: the Lightroom Queen did a great post on that:  https://www.lightroomqueen.com/custom-keyboard-shortcuts/

Alt + E + V will do this, as long as Alt + E are pressed (even just momentarily) before V
