Lightroom Classic: One-click shortcut to change Rating-mode

I'd like a one-click shortcut to change Rating mode in Lightroom Classic CC as with Lightroom CC.

Currently when you click the symbol after Rating you first get a pop-up dialog that you then need to move mouse cursor down and click a second time to actually active a Rating mode change. After doing this several times a day it gets annoying.

1. Click the symbol after Rating
2. Move mouse over one of the three options on the pop-up submenu
   
3. Click to confirm

On Lightroom CC you can do this with just one mouse click and no mouse movement required. That's what I'd like have on LR Classic CC as well.

Job done! You might need to click two times when the selection is not the next but the next after that, but even then it's more easy to just keep clicking than to carefully move your mouse over correct selection before clicking.

I do sometimes (but rarely) like the current behaviour so I wouldn't get rid of the pop-up submenu altogether and instead leave it available as an Option click (on a Mac) to be there when needed.

If you are concerned that long-time users of LR Classic CC would not like the change, then just give me the option to Option click the symbol after Rating to immediately change the mode without the pop-up submenu.
