Lightroom Classic: LR 2018 new update adjustment brush does not have the effects sliders

I installed the new LR 2018 update that provides version 4 of the calibration set up with new use of profiles.  In the develop module the gradient tool and the radial filter have their effects sliders (all 15 of them).  The adjustment brush does not.  It only shows the screen shot below.  I have uninstalled Lightroom and re-installed the app but there is no difference.
