Lightroom Classic: Lens Correction preset editing dialog disregards checkboxes
I've been trying to create presets for Lens Correction.
The checkboxes in the (Develop) Presets editing dialog under Lens Correction seem to suggest that you can choose to either save the setting for Distortion or for Vignetting or for both in the preset, depending on whether the checkbox in front of the option has been checked.
However, it seems that Lightroom CC Classic is completely disregarding whether the box was checked or not and saves both values in the preset.
When I create a preset with only Distortion @ 100 and Vignetting @ 50 and save the setting as a new preset and UNcheck the box for Vignetting, Lightroom still 'remembers' the value for Vignetting.
When, in the Developing module, I set both values for Lens Correction to zero (0) and apply the preset that I created above, Distortion will be set at 100 (as expected when I created the preset), but it will also change the value for Vignetting to 50 (which is not what I'd expect since I UNchecked the box for Vignetting when I created the preset).
If it's not possible to create a Lens Correction preset just for Distortion or just for Vignetting, than these checkboxes should be removed from the dialog.Otherwise, please fix this. Because it's very confusing for users.

Those checkboxes refer to the Lens Corrections> Manual tab's Distortion and Vignetting settings and not the Lens Profile settings. Why do you want to apply only the Lens Profile Distortion setting with a preset? We can probably come up with a better solution once we understand exactly what you're trying to do.

I only use the Profile tab in the Lens Correction panel for camera and lens model based corrections. This works fine for me. I never use the Manual tab.
I've created a Develop Preset for importing images with some basic 'corrections' I wanted applied automatically. When I created this preset, I had a certain value set in both the Distortion and Vignetting fields (on the Profile tab) and had ALL checkboxes under Lens Correction enabled in the Develop Preset dialog. When applying this preset, amongst the other 'corrections', both distortion and vignetting values are applied according to the values they had when I created the preset. So far so good.
While trying to create a set of develop presets that target specific types of 'corrections' I discovered that both distortion and vignetting are applied, even if the checkbox for one or the other was UNchecked when creating the development preset.
I was under the impression that, when UNchecking the Distortion checkbox in the Develop Preset dialog, I would ONLY store the Vignetting value in the preset as applied on the Profile tab in the Lens Correction pane of de Develop module. And vice versa, when UNchecking the checkbox for Vignetting, ONLY the Distortion value would be saved in the preset.
This seems not to work the way I expected. Instead, the values in both fields are stored in the preset. Making it impossible for me to create a preset that only applies distortion or vignetting and leaves the current value of the other field unchanged.
If what you say is true, than the Develop Preset dialog is incomplete, because there are quite a few options on the Manual tab of the Lens Correction pane available that are NOT represented in the Develop Preset dialog.
Besides, the options that are available in the Develop Preset dialog seem to best match the options that are available on the Profile tab in the Lens Correction pane.
For me it's very confusing, to say the least...

All of the options in the Lens Corrections do appear to be represented in the Develop Preset dialog. Here's how they map:
Note that there are two bugs in 7.3.1 where the setting of the on/off switch at the very top and the Constrain Crop setting are not captured by presets. Prior to 7.3 they were captured, and bug reports have been filed on both issues.

However, from my own experience and from resources I've found on the internet, it seems that the checkboxes for Lens Corrections in the Develop Presets dialog are relate to the values set for Distortion and Vignetting on the Profile tab in the Lens Corrections pane in the Develop module whem saving the preset.
