Lightroom Classic: Incorrect thumbnail

Incorrect thumbnails generated in Filmstrip in Library mode.
Oftentimes Lightroom will not generate correct thumbnail for an image.  Instead, it sometimes creates a thumbnail based on incorrect image.  Only upon entering Develop mode, and loading the image does the thumbnail temporary refresh and reflects the correct image.  Only solution so far has been to select the image and force Lightroom to re-generate thumbnail Library -> Previews -> Build 1:1 Previews.

This has been a consistent bug throughout the past few years.  I strongly urge Adobe to address it.  It's a real workflow obstacle for those of us running busy photo studios.

I have experienced this bug many times over the past couple of years - although with an incorrect image showing in the navigation box in my case.   It seems to happen much less frequently to me now though.

Just yesterday an incorrect image from a different collection popped up momentary in the navigation box but it was corrected in less than a second without my doing anything.   It's almost as if the bug is still in the software but they installed a patch to do a correction automatically rather than try to find the original bug.   Works ok for me these days, most of the time.

Bear in mind though that  frequently update the 1-1 previews though, to keep the reviewing going smoothly.

Don't suppose you guys are renaming files with names that have already been used? It just rings a bell as a cause of this issue a few years ago.
