Lightroom Classic: Import and Folder Tree
I thought I had resolved this but alas not. I cannot LR Classic 7.4 to maintain its Folder Tree. So these are the steps.
- On my HD I create a folder say ~/Pictures/MyPhotos and copy say 100 photos into it.
-In LR I create a Folder un Macintosh HD ~Pictures/Test
-I Synchronise the folder and it imports 100 photos.
-The Import finishes and it says that my folder has 0 photos in it.
-I look further at the Folder Tree and LR has created a Folder directly under Macintosh HD with my photos in it.
-If I select this Folder and go Show in finder it is in the place on my HD that I put it.
I cannot get LR to show it is the correct Folder Tree.
Any ideas anyone?

If you need them in a different folder why not just place them there initially? I've never even thought to use LR to create or manage folders. I use Finder to do that, place my files where I want them, and import them into LR from there. But, to each his own! :-)
