Lightroom Classic: Images synced to Lightroom CC for mobile - Thumbnails on mobile do not update after edits

If you login to lightroom.adobe.com does a profile change on the desktop app update the thumbnail on the website?

No the thumbnails are not updated on the web app unless I also make an edit to the photo in the web app. (In this case, the profile change makes a very drastic obvious change to the colors of the image, so it is very apparent when the correct profile is not applied.)

I also tried opening up Lightroom CC desktop. It quickly updates the thumbnails in the desktop app, but has no affect on the online/mobile thumbnails. If I make an edit in Lightroom CC desktop, the image thumbnail is then updated on mobile On the web app, I had to close the browser window and re-open for the thumbnail to update.

So my edits in Lightroom Classic CC are synced to mobile and web, just not with the updated profile. It appears a subsequent edit through Lightroom CC desktop/mobile/web is then required to trigger a thumbnail update.

Jeff, I am confused. Are you using Lightroom Classic or Lightroom CC on the desktop?They are very different programs and I want to be sure what we are looking at.  Can you go to Help>System Info... and get me your installed version number?

I am using Lightroom Classic CC 8.1. I installed Lightroom CC desktop just to check if browsing the images in there would help with the mobile sync issue.

So, if I have it correct:

1. Image synced from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom CC for IOS/Android.
2. Change profile on one synced image
3. Lightroom Classic updates the image, and the thumbnail in Library and syncs the file
4. The CC for your mobile device shows the correct render in the Edit mode after the sync
5. The thumbnail in the Album view does not.

Do I have it right?

If, in addition to the profile, you tweak the exposure up +.01 what happens? Does the thumbnail on the device now rerender correctly?

Yes, that is the correct workflow.

Any edit change to the image on the mobile device causes the thumbnail to be updated, but edits on the desktop do not.

Updates to all clients were released yesterday. Can you update all of your devices/computers and see if you are still seeing the problem?

I have the exact same issue - is there any progress relating this bug / does anyone solved it?

(Android 8, have latest updates of every related app including a full re-install of lightroom mobile on my phone)
