Lightroom Classic: How do I disable the "Would I like to cancel" dialog on quitting?

I updated to the newest version of LR Classic CC yesterday (Win 10), and since then the following happens:

Everytime I want to quit Lightroom (via the "X" in the upper right corner), A message box pops up, asking me "Wollen Sie wirklich abbrechen" [OK, Cancel, Don't show again], which translates from German to English as "Do you really want to cancel".

I cannot remember, wether any such messagebox appeared in previous editions of LR. Since I wanted to shut down the computer, I had to click "OK".
I am wondering: Is this a mere translation mishap, so would the message in English show "Do you really want to Quit" just as a confirmation dialog if I really want to quit LR, or is Lightroom indeed busy doing something under the hood I cannot directly see, and will canceling break something in my catalog?

If you feel that it's an annoyance, please use the "Don't Show Again" option.

It is just a confirmation message to ensure that you really want to quit Lightroom Classic.
It was introduced in 8.1 version.
Lightroom Classic is NOT doing any other operations that may affect your catalog while it's been shown.

You mean an annoyance was introduced without any reason at all?
Can one accidentally quit LR?
And if I do, is that a problem?
I usually have to make an effort to find that X and click it to quit LR and you ask me if I am sure?
What age group is advising on these kinds of nonsense?

Lots of people have asked for the option to 'NOT EXIT' i.e. they pressed exit by mistake and the normal exit dialog does not allow you to go back. So this new dialog does allow for mistakes and as Sunil said, you can opt out of this if you never make mistakes!

I don't believe it's just about the new behaviour, Bob, or what it's intended to do. Instead, it's the translation of the text that isn't communicated clearly to German users and it's causing confusion - other post here https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lr-classic-cc-v8-1-beenden-nicht-moglich?utm_...

Hi Sunil,

the phrase "Do you really want to quit" is indeed not properly localized in German. The German localization "Wollen Sie wirklich abbrechen?" translates to "Do you really want to cancel/abort (your current action)". Which is confusing.

Can you please trigger an update of that phrase for the German localization? It should read "Wollen Sie wirklich beenden?" or "Wollen Sie Lightroom wirklich beenden?".

Thanks,

Thanks for letting us know, tpnotes.
We will evaluate the translated string again.

Thanks,
Sunil

It indeed is! I just did not find it because I searched in English :-)
