Lightroom Classic: HDR Merge Catalog Problem

With the new version just released, If I'm in a tagged group of images creating HDR's, and sorting in Added order.  Instead of staying in just the group of 300 images the program blinks and the entire catalog is listed.  I know this because the catalog image number is visible,  went from 334 to 46000.  Never did this before the upgrade.

By "in a tagged group of images", I think you mean you're filtering the images by a particular keyword or keywords, and the merge is clearing the current filter settings.

To prevent the merge from clearing the settings, lock the filters by doing FIle > Library Filters > Lock Filters (or click the lock icon on the right of the filter bar). Then they won't clear when you do the merge.

Thanks, John I'll do that hopefully it will work for my next set.  Yes it was keyword, I meant to say.  I did a work around, created a smart collection, with all the images from the shoot, that worked.
I must have gotten reset with upgrade.
